Update:

We now have a firm date of the 20/21/22nd January 2012 for our first conference. Thank you all for signing up. As of today (25th Nov) signups are closed as we've pretty much run out of space. We may possibly be able to accommodate a few more people but please write to me (John Lambert, john@eigenlabs) directly if you'd like to attend rather than update this page.

EigenD Developer Conference

It is currently proposed that we might have the first EigenD developers conference in early January. There will be no charge for this and for a limited number accommodation will be free. It will be held here. Places are limited, so please indicate your interest as soon as possible. It may be possible to lend you an instrument if you are traveling from afar, though you will need to bring your own laptop or computer to work on. To attend as a developer you will need knowledge of C++, and some Python would be an advantage. You must have at least have built EigenD on your computer from the Git repository, although understanding it well is not a requirement - that is part of the purpose of the get together after all.

We are able to accommodate a number of non programming partners who would just like a nice weekend out, and if any non programmers would like to attend to just hang out and play that's also great, although we will have to prioritise accommodation to people who are coming to code since it is so limited. We will be asking for everyone to chip in to pay for a cook/chef and ingredients so that we can eat - this will be an even contribution per head per day and will go directly to the chef. If you want to make other arrangements to eat that is fine, although there will not be any cooking facilities available as the chef will be using them. There are local pubs that do good food and Ashburton is about 15 minutes away by car and has resaurants etc.
