All the factory setups of the Alpha have the same instrument configuration, they differ mostly in the available splits and keygroups.

These are the instruments that are available:

Sampler Instruments

Sampler 1

• Default SoundFont: Sampletekk Black Grand Medium (Grand Piano)
• Key pressure -> note activation/velocity/aftertouch
• Strip controller 1 -> pitch bend (range 12 semitones)
• Pedal 1 (Volume Pedal 1) -> sustain

Sampler 2

• Default SoundFont: Sampletekk Tubed Rhodes (Fender Rhodes)

• Breath controller -> note volume

The Alpha's controllers are available through the Audio Unit parameter grid configuration and are set up as follows:

• Strip controller 1: AU parameter column 1
• Strip controller 2: AU parameter column 2
• Breath controller (blow): AU parameter column 3
• Breath controller (suck): AU parameter column 4
• Key pressure: note activation/velocity/aftertouch & AU parameter column 5
• Key roll: pitch bend (range 1 semitone) & AU parameter column 6
• Key yaw: AU parameter column 7
• Pedal 1: AU parameter column 8
• Pedal 2: AU parameter column 9
• Absolute strip position 1: AU parameter column 10
• Absolute strip position 2: AU parameter column 11
