Convolver:
convolver |
The Convolver Agent is EigenD's built-in convolution engine plug-in. Within the EigenD Factory Setups it is used most often in conjunction with the Cello Oscillator, but can also be used standalone to provide effects such as a convolution reverb.
left | audio | input |
The left audio input receives left channel audio signals from upstream Agents.
right | audio | input |
The right audio input receives right channel audio signals from upstream Agents.
mix |
The mix input determines the wet/dry mix of the Convolver Agent. 0 is fully dry (i.e. no effect), 1 is fully wet (effect only).
enable |
The Enable port turns the convolver on or off - when turned off the effect is bypassed.
mono |
The Mono port is used to enable or disable mono processing within the Convolver.
enable | time | input |
The Enable Time Input determines how long (in milliseconds) it takes to fade in and out when enabling and disabling.
left | audio | output |
The left audio output is normally used to send left channel audio signals from the Convolver to downstream Agents.
right | audio | output |
The right audio output is normally used to send right channel audio signals from the Convolver to downstream Agents.
Impulse:
An Impulse refers to the internal representation of an Impulse Response within the Convolver (as opposed to a reference to a particular Impulse Response), and something you could 'browse' for example.
choose |
The 'choose' verb is used to select the currently selected impulse response in the EigenBrowser as the 'impulse' within the Convolver, or to select an impulse response with a particular Belcanto name.
Before using the Belcanto examples below, make sure you have the desired Convolver in the conversation using
convolver | X | listen |
where X refers to the number of the desired Convolver.
To set the mix level, use
mix | input | to | X | set |
where X is the desired mix value.
To set enable, use
enable | set |
To 'un set' enable, use
enable | un | set |
To set mono, use
mono | set |
To 'un set' mono, use
mono | un | set |
To set the enable time value, use
enable | time | input | to | X | set |
where X is the value of the desired enable time.
To choose an Impulse from the EigenBrowser, making sure you have the EigenBrowser open, use
eigenbrowser | , | convolver | X | hey |
impulse | browse |
where X is the name of your desired Convolver. To choose an impulse with a predefined Belcanto name, use
eigenbrowser | , | convolver | X | hey |
Y | choose |
where X is the number of the desired Convolver, and Y is the desired Belcanto name.
