Hi Garth,

That happens automatically for all stable and testing versions. Setups from unstable versions are potentially not compatible with any other versions it gives us some leeway while working on the unstable versions without having to support upgrading between them. A lot of features change rapidly during the unstable development process and it would take up a lot of our time maintaining compatibility between all of them.

Bottom line, the unstable branch is exactly that: unstable. Don't rely on it from anything important, nor base yourself on it. Once we promote it to the testing status we actively start supporting it.

COuld there be a script added to the installer that looks for user presets in prior versions and copies them into the new software setup - that would make life a LOT easier every time I update - thanks
