Thank you key"master".
I will try this tomorrow.
By the way, thank you for the "custom scales" link.

Hi everybody, I use virtual instruments : RealGuitar 2L, Ministry of Rock etc.... and I want to have the articulation keys of the plugs instead of the percussion keys. So, is it possible to transpose the percussion keys? (5, 12 and sometimes 48 semitones)

Hi Jean-Phy,

To change the tonic of the percussion keys say:

"percussion kgroup hey"

"tonic to [ note name ] set"

Replace [ note name ] with the name of the tonic in this format - notea, noteasharp, noteb, notec, notecsharp, etc.

To change the octave of the percussion keys say:

"percussion kgroup hey"

"octave to X set"

You can also say "octave up" or "octave down".

You could also change the scale, for example to put the percussion keys in a major scale you would say:

"percussion kgroup hey"

"scale to major set"

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Dave

Little help !
I want to have a D note on my first percussion key with a scale in C major. (I don't want a Dmajor). How can I do that ?
And is it possible to change the note in the percussion keys to choose the articulations of my plug-ins (ex. up to down C2, E2, G2,B2, C1, C#1, F1, F#1, etc ...)

Hi Jean Phy,

The following commands will change the percussion keys to a C major scale starting on D. This is working on the assumption that they are already in C major.

"percussion kgroup hey"

"base note to 1 set"

Regarding the second query, I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Do you want to use the percussion keys as mid triggers? Could you provide further examples please.

Thanks,

Fin

In fact I want the plug-ins articulations (kontakt, vsl) on the percussion keys but in the Best Service Real Guitar virtual instrument, there are articulations in the 1st and the 6th octave. I can't have all the articulations in the 12 percussion keys. Is it possible to have different notes from different octaves on the percussion keys in the same time (for example, up to down : c1, d1, e1, f1, g1, a1, c6, d6, e6, f6, g6, a6)

Hi Jean,
Wild idea (as i'm away from my studio all this weekend) instead of changing
Percussion keys can't you change articulations key, inside kontakt?
Another solution would be: create a custom scale and use that in the percussion keys.
Let me know, I think I can do a setup like that.

Hi keyman
I can change the articulations in kontakt (thank you for this idea) but not in others VST plugs (like Best Service Real guitar).
What I want is exactly what you said : Create a custom scale.
Do you know how to do that ?

yes... and you can do it also! (just search a bit, and experiment) but nevermind...

Just open the file User Scales.txt ( inside ~/Library/Eigenlabs/Scale Manager/User Scales.txt) and copy and paste

[jeanphy articulation scale]
; starts c1
intervals=0 2 4 5 7 9 60 62 64 65 67 69

Save this file, and only then run EigenD ( or restart if it was running)

after this select the user scale
"percussion kgroup hey"
"scale to user 1"

(user 1 if you only have one scale )

put the right octave
"percussion kgroup hey"
"octave to X set"

let me know how it goes...
