While it's not feasible to run eigenD on the iPhone or iPad, it would be quite feasible as a control surface for aspects of eigenD.
I'm starting to really love the ability to control things with Belcanto and hell, I can see learning to type it in on the instrument itself. However, I cant really see being able to do that without better feedback when something goes wrong.
If there was a way to access the protocol that EigenCommander uses to communicate with eigenD, then I could write a simple iPhone app that gives us a remote console for belcanto. That way, I can see the phrases I'm entering on the instrument or can use the iPhone keypad to type commands. Then we can really lose the laptop and a headless eigenD might be possible.
Another reason to Open Source this stuff or at least give us some API. So your customers can help push things forward as well.
