I was reflecting on the use of the octave up/down keys. It could be nice to have a mode where pressing and leaving the finger on the button does the transposition and releasing the finger restores the original mode. Double tapping the button could then change the setting permanently. This could allow for quicker octave changing when you only need a higher or lower note quickly...
