Help: Keygroup 2 Scales won't change on Tau

Thanks, Jim. version 1.1.22 works and now things are actually starting to line up with the tutorials! I was able to get through tutorials 1 & 2.

I have a Tau and EigenD 1.1.11-testing. I am following Tau tutorial #2 to try to change the scale. The tutorial does this on split 2 trying to select the scale with keygroup 1 then play it with keygroup 2 by activating the global scale control, if I am understanding it correctly. However, the global scale control doesn't work. It seems to change the keygroup 1 scale but not keygroup 2. I cannot get keygroup 2 scale to change at all. Even if I specify keygroup 2 individually, it remains major no matter what. I also tried changing the scale using the keygroup 2 controls accessed via the keygroup 2 mode key to no avail. I seem to be able to change the scale on keygroup 1 only and not on keygroup 2.

Hi focusaurus,

Would you mind starting EigenD, trying to change scale for Keygroup 2 and then sending a bug report? This will allow us to diagnose your problem more effectively.

OK, I followed the video tutorial, reproduced my bug, and submitted the report just now. EigenD says I'm not connected to the internet and that it will store the bug report and submit later, but I am connected to the Internet right now. Not sure if the bug was sent or not.

Thanks. FYI I tried 1.1.19-testing as well and I can't seem to change the scale at all. When the 8 scale keys are lit red I press one and it just stays red. None of them will go green and both keygroups are stuck in major.

Just to clarify the above post, we will be making the next release (1.1.21) of EigenD with the fix for the Tau setups in today.

OK, I will keep checking the downloads page. As of new it still lists 1.1.20 as the latest testing release available.

EigenD version 1.1.21-testing is now available for download here and should solve your problem.

Version 1.1.21 hangs loading Talker kgroup 1. I can't start EigenD at all with this version. I have to force quit EigenD.

Any more experience/news with V1.1.21 ? I was about to install to fix the scale change problem on my Tau but held off when I read about focusaurus' issue. Cheers Nick

We found a problem with certain Tau's and 1.1.21.

There is a new 1.1.22 version up in testing which contains the fix.
