Help: Pico, sound volume of the bass guitar sound very low.

Hello,

I adjusted the sound volume of the bass guitar sound and the master sound volume to the maximum (both to 120) in the sound effects setting, but still this sound is very muted when compared to the others. It requires quite hard pressing of the keys to be audible at all.

How can I increase the volume of the bass guitar sound?

The bass guitar is loaded in sampler 2 (factory setting) and I adjusted its volume in the sampler 2 control page.

I run EigenD 1.0.13 on a 2,33 GHz Macbook Pro with OS X 10.6.2.

Hello Aaron,

I did an upgrade to EigenD 1.0.14. The sound of the bass guitar is still quite muted, when compared to the other sounds. Also I seem to have problems running the Pico from the left USB-port of my Macbook Pro. I will send you an Email.

Thomas, just a thought, how are you listening to the EigenD output? Through the speakers of a MacBook Pro? These don't let much bass through.

Hmmm, you may have a point there ... . I will try to get some active speakers next week and try it again with these.

Yes, I had the same idea and that´s what I have just done some minutes ago. I took my old Sony ear plugs and tried them. They give a very over the top fat bass.

Well that was it. Oh man, dilettante olé. How stupid can one be? Aaaargh!

So, the bass guitar is just wonderful and I will go and get some proper speakers and send another apologizing E-mail to Aaron.
