I spoke to our tech team and although it is not possible at the moment they are going to take this into consideration for future a development.

Hi,

I use a lot of SSD and other devices as external storage. Among these are firewire and eSATA. At the moment, the installation only lets me install to an internal harddisk and not something attached via a port. Is this something that will change? I ask because I'd like the flexibility of not having to get a macbook when I can use the iMacs at different locations.
