This is odd, but I've had it on 2 computers now, the first was when I demoed it on my old Core Duo iMac at work, so I put it down to the machine being a bit slow... the second was after I'd upgraded to 1.0.6 on my macbook pro 2.6Ghz at home. The instrument was first giving a delayed response, then missing alternate keys, then stopped making noises all together... Unlike the old problem, the lights stayed lit.
More detail: the iMac is still running Leopard, the Macbook Pro is running Snow Leopard
