Hi, I've downloaded several sf2-files from the internet. With stage I can load for example oboe on sampler 1 into the Tau. Where can I change for example the reverb? there is no knob or slider to change it
Thanks Holger

not quite sure what you mean by 'example reverb'
by default, there are no reverbs mixed into anything*.
(sampler 3/synth have a small bit of delay mixed in,
if you are hearing reverb, are you sure its not already within the sf2 sample, trying playing it with an SF2 player. I suspect you have a sample that already contains reverb, try to find a 'dry' one.
if you want to add effects, the factory setup as a few options
each instrument has an inline au/vst fx, which you can select (inline fx browse)
and there are 2 additional fx sends on the mixer (again vst/au) finally there is a delay send on the mixer too.
(for vsts you will need to select one, and then adjust send/return, for delay just turn up send/return)
note: as you probably know, delays with short time intervals can sound similar to reverbs.
this is more than enough for most...
but from there you can of course customise your setup in EigenD, and it comes with a convolution reverb agent, which you could add as an additional send (or easier, replace one of the existing ones)
not a 'beginners task', but its not too hard using workbench either.
once you get a dry sample (or for other uses) , I would 100% recommend using a VST for reverbs, and in particular valhalladsp's, which are fantastic, easy to use and one of the best sounding out there... and $50 they are extremely good value.
http://valhalladsp.com
they have demos so you can try them to see which you prefer, for general stuff, Id go for either ValhallaRoom or ValhallaVintageVerb, but all are good. (shimmer/ubermod are a bit more specialised)
good luck
