Thanks for your reply John. I must have read the information a long time ago before upgrading but I did not remember it. It's midi settings I have to use the Pico with Mr.T Sax. I have replicated the User Set up now. Thanks a lot.

Hello,

I have just downloaded the latest Eigend version 2.0.66 and I want to use a User Setup I created and saved with version 1.4.12. I have tried to copy the file from one setups folder to the other. Although I can find the setup in the new version of Eigend it fails to load and I don't get any lights on my Pico.
Any ideas how to resolve that?

Many thanks.

Hi

I'm afraid that you can't run setups from the 1.X series in the 2.X software. There were just too many system wide fundamental changes to make it possible to provide a setup upgrader. All of the Factory Setups were rebuilt from scratch using Workbench, and quite a few things about them are different. We were careful to make the playing experience identical for each of them, but the way that's achieved is different in 2.X in quite a few ways.

Trying to load 1.X setups into 2.0 may well cause bad things to happen, and it certainly won't result in any kind of playable system. I'd expect it to crash in some way in fact.

We did announce this incompatibility in all of our product communications but I've just realised that the current software download page doesn't make this clear, please accept my apologies for that, it should do and we'll change it next week to reflect that. It's been a long time since 2.0 was first released into Experimental, and we tend to forget that quite a few people haven't been following developments during that period.

Could I ask what customisations you'd done to your 1.4 setup?

John
