General Discussion: Sibalius

So in doing this, it would be different to the current keyboard way of numpad as note duration and then a->g as the note to be inserted with the octave determined by the closest octave to the previous note.
Eg.
The note that you input in keygroup 3 is a defined single note with the second keygroup acting as the length selector.

I must say that I'm much more familiar with Sibelius (4 and 5) than Finale and so I guess I'm trying to figure out where you're heading. Wouldn't it be faster to hit record and play the phrases in via midi? I guess this would be slower if the piece had fewer notes.

If there was a midi-> keyboard key converter that might work.

I didn't know where this thread should go, but is there a way to configure my eigenharp to control finale or sibalius? I know how to use it to input notes like a keyboard, but i'd like to use keygroup 2 as the keypad to select note lengths and keygroup 3 to input the notes. I think you could use the eigenharp to copy, arrange, and transcribe much faster than using a midi keyboard and computer keypad. Is there a way to do this?

If those apps are controllable via MIDI notes or CC, you can use Talkers with appropriate Belcanto to send control values out a MIDI channel. Look at the docs here on Talkers. Once you have something specific in mind, let us know.
