General Discussion: Using the eigenharp with Cubase

I knew there was something missing. Thanks a million :)

Can anyone recommend some good midi routing software? i.e., being able to converge multiple nano pads and other input devices, and depending on set conditions, pipe them out to different LoopBe virtual outputs?

Hi.

Please excuse my stupidity. The information that I'm looking for is probably easy to find... but I've failed to locate it with my fatigue saturated brain.

Is there an easy guide which talks you through the steps of getting EigenD to talk with cubase via Midi? I'm using Windows7 if that makes any difference. Do I need to install a virtual midi client?

Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you'll need a virtual MIDI client on Windows (this isn't needed on MacOS as it provides such functionality as standard). Loopbe seems to be the preferred option amongst most Eigenharp players, you can find it here. You will need the paid up version as the data rates generated by the Eigenharps cause the free one to detect a loopback condition and shut down and this 'loopback detection' can only be disabled in the non free version. I don't know if there's a better free Windows MIDI loopback client available now, does anyone else know of one?

LoopBe is what I used for a couple years on my Windows 7 box. John is correct about getting the paid version (not much as I recall) - don't bother with the free version, as you'll run into the data overflow issues immediately. I never had a bit of problems with it after I upgraded to the paid, more capable version.
