General Discussion: How to auto run a script?

Most Recent

written by: carvingCode

I got thinking about this last evening after re-reading some parts of the documentation here.

I've been struggling with how to create a setup for a particular tune. The tune has verse and bridge sections that are repeated. There are different drum parts for each section, as well as different bass and key/pad parts.

The tune is moderately fast (110 BPM or thereabouts) and I don't see how I will be able to trigger the recorder arm, instrument and drum parts on the fly. So, I'm looking for an alternative method.

When I read that is is possible to start the play of a recorded take at a specific metronome beat, I thought that I might be able to trigger the bridge parts.

I just am unsure 1) if I can preload a script containing the necessary Belcanto at setup load, or 2) how to add the Belcanto the the metronome.

Does this seem remotely possible?

TIA

What is the best way to run a script when the metronome is activated? Or is there a way to run a script or Belcanto when a setup loads?
